Mitate Sanjurokkasen Series Artist: Kunisada & Gengyo Format: Oban tate-e: 14.25" x 10" Subject: A young bijin holding back a young man with a scythe by his leg, by a river in the evening under the moon. In the background a still life of writing equipment by Gengyo. Publisher: Iseya Kanekichi Date: 1856 Condition: Fine colors. Laid down on Japanese album backing paper. Full size. Minor marks and flaws. Slightly soiled and rubbed. Album binding holes along left edge. Slightly thinned in right margin. Generally very good state of preservation. Impression: Fine impression with gauffrage.
