Wednesday, 7 January 2009 This is a genuine original shin hanga Japanese woodblock print by Shotei "Tokumochi" dated 1922 (by Marc Kahn on the Shotei.com website). The print was published by Watanabe and bears the Watanabe 6mm seal which is consistent with pre-earthquake Watanabe designs.. The print is in fine condition. Excellent impression, excellent registration, excellent color, and very good bleedthrough. The print is not trimmed or setdown. There is no foxing, toning, folds or creases. Paper size is 7" x 10".
