Friday, 22 September 2006 Original Japanese woodblock print by the shin hanga artist Ohara Koson. Subject: Crow perched on a thin flowering cherry branch a full moon behind. Date: early 20th century. Illustrated in "Crows, Cranes & Camellias". Excellent color & impression. Two thin spots near top margin (center & left top corner). Two minor bends in lower left corner. Perhaps a very faint mat-discoloration. Finely printed with some alum (mica-like) details. Measures 9.75" x 10".
