Colour woodblock print, oban triptych. From right, the kabuki actors Onoe Eizaburo I (poetry name ‘Gacho’) as a Chinese minister, with sword and holding the handle of a large umbrella, Segawa Michinosuke I (poetry name ‘Rogyo’) as a Chinese princess playing the flute, Sawamura Gennosuke I (poetry name ‘Shozan’) as another Chinese minister, with sword and holding a Chinese fan. All are standing beneath branches of cherry blossom.
